We are working with our collaboration partners to combat the significant shortage of skilled professionals in the semiconductor industry. This shortage includes engineers, technicians, and researchers, and it has been a challenge for scaling production and innovation. By collaborating, we’re aiming to tackle this issue head-on and ensure that the industry can continue to grow and evolve.

AI Safety, Governance & Digital Equity

We are working with our collaboration partners to tackle the bias and discrimination that can come from AI systems, which often happens because of the data they're trained on. This kind of unfairness can show up in places like hiring, law enforcement, and lending. Also, we are working to ensure AI systems are fairly distributes and not just concentrated among a small group of people or companies. It’s all about making AI work better and more equitably for everyone.

Public Health & Chronic Disease

We are working with our collaboration partners to Increase the quality of access to healthcare services, preventive measures, and early diagnosis for marginalized and low-income communities to reduce worse outcome in chronic diseases.

Not only that, but we are also working to improve the privacy and security concerning personal health data as healthcare systems are becoming more digitized.

Education Access & Equity

With our collaboration partners, we are working on finding equitable access to education and educational systems for marginalized communities from k-12 through post graduate education. This includes addressing issues with lack of infrastructure, improvements in learning outcomes and education based research.

Maternal Health & Gender Equity

With our collaboration partners, we are working to increase access to reproductive health education and services as well as working to tackle issues around gender-based violence and equal access to opportunities for economic growth for women and girls.

Affordable Housing & Homelessness

With our collaboration partners, we are working to provide comprehensive support services such as mental health, job training, and family support services to help homelessness as well as develop and provide affordable housing solutions to families. We are also working to find sustainable and impactful way to combat the housing shortage and work with developers on building and issuing affordable housing.

Food Insecurity & Hunger

With our collaboration partners, we are working to provide families from marginalized communities and cities with access to nutritious foods and develop sustainable solutions for food deserts.

Climate Change

With our collaboration partners, we are working to combat the financial impact of climate change includes damage to infrastructure, increased costs for disaster response and recovery, and economic losses in sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, and tourism.

Agricultural Production

With our collaboration partners, we are working to tackle issues and challenges around sustainable agriculture, increased access to fresh produce, innovations in agricultural practices and improving economic opportunity across all farmers.

Digital Equity

We are working with our partners to address the issue of limited broadband infrastructure, which results in slow or unreliable internet connections. This makes it difficult for people to access online resources and services. Additionally, even when technology is available, some individuals may lack the skills needed to use digital tools effectively. We’re focused on tackling both of these challenges to improve overall access and usability for everyone

Gun Violence

We’re working with our partners to tackle community violence, which often stems from issues like poverty, unemployment, and social instability. These factors have contributed to higher rates of violence and crime, including gun-related incidents. By addressing the root causes, we’re aiming to reduce violence and make our communities safer.

We are working with our partners to address bioterrorism that involves complex ethical and legal considerations, such as balancing individual rights with public safety, managing quarantine and isolation measures, and addressing potential civil liberties concerns.

Childhood and Adult Poverty

We are working with our partners to reduce the barriers for adults in poverty to secure stable, well-paying jobs such as limited access to job training, discrimination, and lack of transportation. We are also working to reduce the economic inequality and systemic barriers, such as racial and gender discrimination, that exacerbate poverty.

Public Safety

We are working with our partners to build and maintain trust between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve to ensure for effective public safety. We are also working to ensure the ability for public safety to quickly and effectively respond to emergencies including natural disasters, fires, medical emergencies, and terrorist attacks.
